Clearwater Yacht Club has long been recognized for its commitment to sailing and seamanship. Hosting major regattas is a proud tradition that reflects the prestige of our club and our dedication to promoting the sport. With the Gulf of Mexico as our venue, Clearwater Yacht Club continues to attract sailors from across Florida and beyond, offering world class racing in an unforgettable setting. Sailing Calendar

The Yachting Committee

At the heart of our regatta program is the Clearwater Yacht Club Yachting Committee, focused on encouraging yachting and helping members become more proficient in seamanship and navigation. The Committee meets at 6:00 pm on the Tuesday before the second Wednesday of each month, generally in the boardroom, and all Clearwater Yacht Club members are welcome to attend.

Planning begins months in advance and involves both on‑the‑water and landside volunteers, ensuring every event runs smoothly and showcases the best of our club.

Fun On and Off the Water

Volunteering is not only rewarding but also fun. If you bring your boat out to the racecourse, you will be paired with an experienced crew and enjoy the excitement of the event firsthand. Afterward, volunteers gather at the Tiki to relax, share stories, and celebrate the day. It’s a chance to be part of the action while building friendships and enjoying the social side of Clearwater Yacht Club.

Member Sailing Events

In addition to major regattas, Clearwater Yacht Club organizes fun sailing events exclusively for members, such as the Summer SAILstice Cruise and the ever popular Beer Can Races. These gatherings strengthen camaraderie and keep the spirit of sailing alive year round.
