"A Club within the Club"

The Cruisers are a “Club within the Club,” offering lasting friendships and memorable adventures by land and sea. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Dry Dock to review recent cruises and preview upcoming activities. While the overall schedule is guided by the Cruise Director, individual Hosts plan the events, outings, and dinners for each trip, which they present at the meetings. Each month, the Cruisers set out to visit Florida Council of Yacht Clubs destinations, west coast marinas, or enjoy Cruise-Ins at Clearwater Yacht Club. Local favorites include January’s Tampa Bay Downs Day to cheer on the horses, March’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities at the Tampa Bay Convention Center, and May’s Villages Trip with golf carts and dancing in the squares. Longer boating adventures are also part of the tradition, with trips reaching as far as Key West or the Bahamas.

You do not need to be a boater to participate—many members drive to reciprocal clubs and stay in hotels to join the fun.
